A letter from Valley Catholic School President John Matcovich

John Matcovich

Dear Valley Catholic School Community,

With Easter and Spring Break now behind us, the end of the school year is coming into view for students and their teachers. We are looking forward to warmer weather, longer days and the many spring activities that create strong and lasting memories for students, particularly those who will be graduating.

In the midst of all this activity, administrators and board directors are already looking ahead to next year.  We are in the final phase of budgeting and finalizing new student enrollment. Plans are firming up for summer maintenance projects, and ongoing long-range planning includes many campus improvements.  The outlook is very bright. We are projecting an increase in enrollment at the elementary and high schools, and enjoy continued full enrollment at the early learning and middle schools. We are grateful that the high-quality educational opportunities available at Valley Catholic School are recognized – and valued – by you and the new families entering our school.

The Easter Season reminds us that the Lord blesses us in many ways. One of the lasting blessings for generations of Valley Catholic students is Mrs. Pat Joyaux. Pat passed away on March 25. Mrs. Joyaux served as the high school secretary and registrar from 1978 until she retired in 2021. Yes, that is 43 years as the face of Valley Catholic High School, where Pat welcomed everyone who entered the building with a bright smile. Pat truly was the “glue” that held the community together. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Joyaux. Your heart and memory will forever be a part of our school.

So as we see the springtime world coming to life around us, and knowing that Mrs. Joyaux is enjoying her new life in heaven, I encourage you to stop and appreciate the many blessings God has bestowed upon us both in our personal lives and especially here at Valley Catholic School.

Sincerely,

Sincerely,
John Matcovich
Valley Catholic School President
