Q: Why does our school have a Gala?
A: At Valley Catholic, like other private schools, the basic tuition for each child does not cover the true cost of education. Along with the Annual Fund, the Gala helps to offset the operating budget and provide all-important resources for tuition assistance. The Gala is the biggest celebration on campus, bringing together alumni, friends and parents of children of all ages in support of Valley Catholic School.
Q: What do Gala proceeds support?
A: Proceeds from the Gala go directly to the operating budget and tuition assistance for students-in-need at Valley Catholic School.
Q: How many students receive tuition assistance?
A: At VCS, one out of five students, pre-school through grade twelve, receive tuition assistance.
Q: When and where is the Gala?
A: The Gala will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Because of the pandemic, we will gather virtually to show our support of Valley Catholic School. This year’s event is free of charge. . . no babysitter necessary! (How’s that for silver linings?)
Q: What’s the schedule?
A: Here is an outline of the evening:
5:30 p.m. Virtual Pre-show
6:00 p.m. Virtual Program, including Distinguished Alumni Award presentation, and a salute to the class of 1971, this year’s Golden Reunion class.
– 6:20 p.m. Light a Fire Special Appeal
– 6:45 p.m. Program concludes
Q: Will there be a live auction?
A: YES, but it will be an online auction. There will be 12 – 15 ‘Only at Valley’ experiences available for bid February 17 – 22, 2021. Look for this collection of special signature events and some perennial favorites from past VCS Galas.
Q: Can I donate an item to the Gala?

Q: Do you need volunteers?
A: Yes! We will need a crew of volunteers to make deliveries in early February. More information on volunteering will be available shortly. Q: Who is invited to the Gala? May I invite people in my bubble? A: Invitations will be mailed, as well as emailed, to current parents, alumni, past parents, and VCS friends. By all means, please invite friends and family who are interested in supporting or attending our school. The beauty of this year’s online event is we have no limitations on attendees and it’s free! Pass it on!
