Religion and Boys Golf Head Coach | Ed Braun has taught at Valley Catholic since 1992 and is chairman of the religion department. Ed earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s in theology and ethics from the University of Iowa. Before coming to Valley Catholic he taught for three years at Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara while studying non-Western religious traditions at the University of California Santa Barbara. At Valley Catholic Ed teaches upper-division Relationships and Theology. Ed’s both a Valley Catholic teacher and parent: his daughter is a senior and his son a sophomore. Ed started Valley Catholic’s golf teams and is an avid golfer himself…and still the class of the campus’s linksmen.
