

On May 9, both VCMS Principal Jennifer Gfroerer and VCMS teacher, Yvonne Ayesiga, VCMS STEMinar teacher, received their Doctorate degrees in Education Research Learning and Leading at a graduation ceremony at University of Portland.
Ms. Ayesiga’s area of focus of study was Higher Education and Student Affairs and her dissertation topic was “Do I Even Belong Here?” An Examination of Imposter Phenomenon Among First-Generation College Seniors and the Factors that Contribute to Resilience and Persistence on the Journey to Graduation. Dr. Ayesiga is a new teacher at VCMS and will be teaching again next school year.
Principal Gfroerer’s doctoral study focused on Neuroeducation, and her dissertation topic was “Catholic Education Centers as Third Party Support for Current Catholic School Principals.”
