A Letter from the VCES Principal – October 2021

Dear VCES families,

As the first month of school comes to a close, I can’t help but admire the resilience and dedication of our students. From the youngest in kindergarten to our school leaders in fifth grade, students are working hard and proving that they are destined for greatness. We conducted our fall STAR testing this past month and are using that information to help students learn the next set of skills. For many of our students, these skills are beyond their current grade level benchmarks.

As October is the Month of the Rosary, teachers are working with students to learn and pray together. While we are not gathering as a whole school, we are finding ways to pray together as a community. Each class has been asked to develop a virtual prayer service to be shared with the entire school. Thus far, they have been remarkable! We look forward to gathering together again, but in the meantime, these virtual prayer services have been a vital part of our community.

In Christ,
Melissa
