A Letter from the VCES Principal – January 2021

Dear VCES Families,

Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with your families and have begun 2021 feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Our teachers and staff are all excited to be back to teaching and meeting with students.

Before staff left for the Christmas break, we spent two days preparing the school building for students to return. This involved adjusting classrooms, moving desks and furniture, and reconfiguring computers and other technology. Over the break, the Governor adjusted the requirements for in-person learning in schools. We are in the process of finalizing detailed plans for students to return, and hope to have them back here on campus at the start of the third quarter.

This weekend, on January 10th, we will host a virtual Open House for prospective Valley Catholic School families. We will share about our mission and philosophy in a general session, and then allow families to choose different topics to listen to, hosted by our teachers. These sessions range from Catholic identity, grade level curriculum, extra-curricular activities, and more. All of the session links and information are available on our Open House webpage VCES Open House. Please share with anyone you know who is interested in learning about our school and program!

Blessings,
Melissa Doxtator
