A Letter from the VCES Principal – February 2022

Dear VCES families,

This past week we celebrated National Catholic Schools Week. This is a week where we spend time reflecting on and celebrating Catholic education. From the Sisters of Saint Mary of Oregon to our teachers, families, and community, we are grateful to all who make our school a success.  Learning about God, praying together and serving among our community are just a few reasons we are so thankful to be part of the Valley Catholic community.

This week our students were able to experience Mass in-person (for some) and via livestream for the first time this school year. The joy and excitement of students was incredible! One student, a kindergartner, was so thrilled to be present at Mass that she told a teacher, “this was [her] dream!”

Watching students experience Christ through the Mass has reminded us why we are committed to Catholic education, and blessed to be a part of the Valley Catholic community.
