Dear VCELS Families,

During October, the Catholic Church dedicates the month to our Blessed Mother, Mary. On October 7th, we celebrate the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. As Catholics, we honor Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church. One way we can honor Mary is by praying the Rosary. The Rosary is a beautiful prayer and something we can all recite to find peace.

At the Early Learning School, we have enjoyed beginning the new school year by meeting new friends and learning new things. From singing new songs, learning daily prayers and Bible stories, and playing outside, our youngest Valiants are adjusting to their new routines. We even have some budding scientists as the students created volcanoes, learned about apples, and engineered bridges so Humpty Dumpty would not fall again. Each day is a blessing as I walk the halls hearing the voices and laughter of our students. At VCELS, the children truly learn and grow through play.

I want to restate the gratitude I have toward our families, for supporting us as we continue with our daily routine during these unusual times. This month, I pray for continued good health and safety of all our families and encourage you to take time to recite the Rosary to draw us closer to Jesus and Mary.

Respectfully,
Veronica Beck, Principal
