A Letter from the VCELS Principal – May 2023

Dear Valley Catholic Families,

Spring has arrived! What a beautiful time of the year to be on our campus. Our students have been enjoying more time outside: walking, playing, observing and enjoying the weather.

During April we celebrated the Week of the Young Child with fun activities each day. We brought in a musician to play for our students on Music Monday. The high school art teacher Jenn Deal and her class came to do a project with our students on Artsy Thursday. We also held a drive for baby items to be donated to Northwest Children’s Outreach. More than 200 baby items were donated!

We were also fortunate to spend time with the Sisters and enjoyed every minute! We celebrated SSMO Heritage Month by having the Sisters over for a tea party. The students made cards, sang songs and had a great time visiting with the Sisters. Earth Day was celebrated at the Motherhouse with our preschoolers singing songs and sharing special gifts with the Sisters. A visit to the Motherhouse is always a special day for us, providing smiles for all.

Enrollment is now open for school age summer camps. All students Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to join us! Visit valleycatholic.org/summer-camps or stop by the VCELS lobby to learn more and register today.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help our youngest Valiants grow and learn.

In Christ,

Amber Ploussard
