Dear VCELS Families,
March is here and we have several things taking place at VCELS. To begin, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The Cat in the Hat will visit our classrooms and provide entertainment by reading some classic Dr. Seuss books. One favorite book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish has been set aside to be read to students by this special guest. Later in the month we will focus on the arrival of spring and talk about nature’s new growth in plants and flowers.
Finally, VCELS will prepare for the Lenten Season. We will talk with the children about ways we can prepare our hearts this season by performing acts of kindness. We encourage each family to take time daily to reflect on something you can do together, whether it is an act of kindness or time spent in prayer.
Here are this month’s tidbits and reminders:
- Wednesday, March 2 – Ash Wednesday; Lenten Season begins
- Monday, March 7 – Tuition due; late fees applied after this date
- Sunday, March 13 – Daylight saving time begins; spring forward
- Thursday, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day; wear your finest green outfit
May our Lord continue to bless you and your family during the Lenten season.
