A Letter from the VCELS Principal – March 2021

Dear VCELS Families,

Our youngest Valiants are enjoying the excitement of springtime. Not only are the flowers coming up and the days getting a bit longer and warmer, we are watching the campus come alive with older students returning to in-person classroom learning. It seems like there’s a bit more activity each week, and many of our students are excited that their older siblings are able to join them at school.

March is also when we celebrate SSMO Heritage Month, a time when we especially appreciate our partnership with the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. We won’t be able to invite the Sisters to our annual prayer service this year due to COVID, but everyone is looking forward to making a visit to the Motherhouse where we will share a few minutes of socially-distanced camaraderie as we wave to our very special friends from outside the building.

Here are a few additional reminders for the month ahead:

  • We look forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Wear your finest green outfit!
  • VCELS will remain open during Spring Break week (March 22 – 26) even though other schools on campus will be closed.
  • Summer camp information for school-age children will be coming out later this month.

May our Lord continue to bless you and your family during the Lenten season.

Sincerely,

Veronica Beck, Valley Catholic Early Learning School Principal
