Dear VCELS Families,

Happy New Year!

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas filled with joy along with some relaxing moments. It is great to have our students back ready to learn and grow in this new year.

During the next few days, the children and faculty will settle back into their routines and prepare for new lessons. Our teachers have planned age-appropriate lessons that will include fine and gross motor skill activities.  With the weather turning cold on us, our teachers have creative ways to help our children develop their gross motor skills and move their bodies while being indoors. At the end of January, we will prepare to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This is one way to promote our school and our Catholic identity in working with young children.

We look forward to a healthy, safe, and peace-filled 2022 as we work together in helping your child grow and learn. In the words of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, “As we begin the New Year, we place ourselves under the protection of the Mother of God, who is also our mother. May she help us to keep and ponder all things, unafraid of trials, in the joyful certainty that the Lord is faithful and knows how to change crosses into resurrections.”
