Dear Valley Catholic Families,
Happy New Year! We hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas filled with joy and some relaxing moments, too. It is great to have our students back, ready to have fun learning in this new year. We are looking forward to a healthy, safe, and peace-filled 2023 as we work together in helping our youngest Valiants learn and grow.
December was a fun-filled month at the Early Learning School! We had a fabulous Christmas program in which our toddlers and preschoolers performed classic Christmas songs for the VC community. We also spent time during Advent focusing on service and participating in the KGW toy drive. Our generous school community donated more than 250 toys that went to local children’s charities.
After a wonderful Christmas holiday, the children and faculty are settling into their routines and preparing to learn and explore. Our teachers have planned age-appropriate lessons that will include some fine and gross motor skill activities. With the weather turning cold, our teachers always find creative ways to help our children develop their gross motor skills and move their bodies while indoors. At the end of the month, we will prepare to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This is one way we promote our school and our Catholic identity as we celebrate with our young children.
On behalf of the Valley Catholic Early Learning School staff we wish you a wonderful New Year. We pray that God continues to bless us all with His love, grace, and good health.
In Christ,
Amber Ploussard
