Dear VCELS Families,
As we begin the month of February, I would like to share some of the exciting things taking place at Valley Catholic Early Learning School. This past week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week with daily themes.
On Monday, we began the week celebrating our community and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. As part of that celebration, our preschool children made a special gift for the Sisters as a thank you for all they do for us. The following days included celebrating our nation and wearing red, white and blue followed by discussions of what our vocations will be when we grow up. The week concluded by celebrating our fabulous faculty and staff. It truly was a great week filled with excitement and fun!
During the upcoming weeks, our teachers will continue to prepare age-appropriate lessons for our children. Focus remains on encouraging our infants and toddlers to learn and grow through exploration and sensorial activities. Our preschool children continue to use Creative Curriculum as they focus on mastery of letters, numbers, and shapes as well as social skills. All our children find ways to work on fine and gross motor skills even in the cold weather. Some may ask if we play all day. Simply put, YES. That’s how our youngest Valiants learn!
Thank you for trusting Valley Catholic with your child and for making Catholic education a priority for your family.
