Dear Families,
December is in full swing at VCELS. This past week we introduced our children to the Season of Advent. Advent is the four weeks before Christmas and a time of joyful preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Four candles adorn an Advent wreath, one for each week. We begin the season by lighting one candle of Hope, followed by Faith, Joy, and Peace.
Our teachers are doing a great job teaching the children the Nativity Story, practicing our numbers as we count down to Christmas, and singing some traditional Christmas songs.
Although this season will be celebrated differently from years past, we hope that our Valley Catholic community is filled with the spirit of Christmas and His blessings.
