Dear Valley Catholic Early Learning Families,
It is so hard to believe that it is April already! We hope you enjoyed a little change from your normal routine during Spring Break. We had a wonderful time with our students playing outside, exploring new games, and participating in science and technology activities. In March, we celebrated SSMO Heritage Month by having some of the Sisters over for a tea party, it was a blast!
As we enter spring, we can’t help but get excited for our school age summer program, which is just a few months away. Information and sign-ups will be available on the VCELS website and in the ELS main lobby. Students can sign up for just a few weeks, or all 11, but don’t wait, spots fill up quickly. We are looking forward to enjoying the summer months with our school age students through water play, field trips, and engaging and exciting STEM activities!
This month brings the celebration of Easter and the celebration of young children. VCELS celebrated Holy Week by walking the Stations of the Cross and doing many Easter-themed crafts and activities.
The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration that promotes a fun-filled week recognizing young children with hands-on activities encouraging movement and healthy lifestyles through music, food, and art.
As part of our celebration, we pitched in to help children in our community. We collected baby items for Northwest Children’s Outreach. It was wonderful to see so many donations of baby wipes, diapers, formula, food, blankets and clothing to help local families care for their precious babies.
Thank you for your generosity to children in need.
May our Lord continue to bless you and your family.
In Christ,
Amber Ploussard
