A Letter from the VC Music School Director – January 2021

Dear Music School Community,

On behalf of all of us at Valley Catholic Music School, we hope and trust that you all had a peaceful and happy Christmas. Our New Year hope is for us all to be re-energized and ready to continue our musical journey with our weekly lessons and daily practice. We also hope you were able to find time to simply enjoy playing music for your own pleasure and for those around you. Music is such a wonderful gift not only for one’s self but to share with family and friends, too.

The New Year also brings new beginnings. This is a wonderful time to consider taking up an instrument and learning something new. How about piano, violin or harp? These are excellent instruments to begin your musical path. Perhaps you are in upper elementary, middle or high school and want to join band or orchestra. Learning how to play a wind instrument, like clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet or, trombone, is a great way to be part of a larger ensemble. Cello or Bass are other string instruments that are equally important in orchestra. Do you want to learn how to play the guitar? Jazz or contemporary music, in addition to classical are great avenues for the guitar. In summary, any musical instrument will enhance an individual’s life. We invite and encourage you to try a new instrument, no matter your age or musical ability. We are here for YOU!
